Summer Trends 2014

Summer is almost upon us so why not empty out your wardrobe and refill it with these trend essentials! I will link all of the items shown below at the end of this post.

1.Jelly Sandals

We have been brought down memory lane this spring as jelly sandals have made a reappearance and it's looking like they will be staying for the duration of the summer. Jelly Sandals go with virtually anything and can be found in almost every colour! If you dare to go bold then why not buy a funky, neon-colour pair or if you want to keep it simple then select a black pair.
Check out various celebrities who have been trending jelly sandals such as Anne Hathaway and Fearne Cotton.

Jelly Sandals are being sold in almost any fashion retail store and on various online retail stores. Missguided have numerous pairs and all are reasonably priced. As jelly sandals are a Spring/Summer shoe it does not seem likely that many people will want to spend a fortune on a pair especially if they are not a person who will continue to wear them when the trend has disappeared. Missguided have priced theirs on average at €15 which to me is a bargain - cheap and cheerful! An even better alternative is of course Penneys (Primark) who have just begun selling jelly sandals. I picked myself up a white pair from there for just €15! Other colours they are currently selling are black, mint and orange.

Missguided - €19.49

                                      Missguided - €15.59

2.Bomber Jackets
Bomber Jackets have been surrounding us like crazy for the past couple of months and it's looking like they will be staying for the summer! As they are lightweight and not heavy-looking they are perfect for the Irish summer weather or if we are lucky to get some sun, they are ideal for summer evenings. Another great thing about bomber jackets is their funky and quirky designs that we are now seeing which means they can instantly transform any outfit. If you are looking for a cheapish bomber jacket then Penneys is your answer (or Primark!) but I have only seen one in their store so the design will obviously not be liked by everyone.
Other, more expensive alternatives to Penneys are Bershka, Motel Rocks and H&M.

Motel Rocks - Both €35 (Use the code 'rorofosho' to get a discount at the checkout)

I am absolutely in love with this bomber jacket from H&M and its price makes it even nicer - €24.95

3.Tropical Print
I was out shopping this week and couldn't help but notice how many shops are selling tropical patterned clothes. Everywhere seems to be selling it, from Bershka to Penneys to Zara. Take a look at some of my favourite must have tropical patterned items below.

Bershka Neoprene Skirt - €19.99

Bershka Tropical Print Baggy Trousers - €27.99

Forever 21 Tropical Dream Midi Skirt - €12.75

4.Florals
Again, I've been seeing huge amounts of floral patterned clothes in the shops lately and also online. Floral is the perfect pattern for summer and turns any winter outfit into a summer one! I think floral dresses are perfect for the summer and can be teamed up with almost anything whether it be leather, denim, Doc Martens or jelly sandals.
I've seen loads and loads of floral dresses in Penneys (Primark) lately for as low as €5 so you can pick yourself up one or two (or three!) in there or check out some of my favourite ones below!

Both dresses Motel Rocks - €50 (use code 'rorofosho' for discount at checkout)

Forever 21 - €17.75
